What about accommodation—hotels and lodges close to birding sites?

The quality and condition of accommodations close to birding sites differ from area to area.

If the birding site is in or close to a major tourist area, you can stay in large and luxury hotels. Some examples are Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Yala and Sigiriya areas.

But in some isolated areas such as Sinharaja and Kitulgala rain forests, there are limited numbers of accommodation places. No luxury hotels.
